What we collect when you use Amazon SEO Ranking, why, and who we share it with.
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Who this is
Amazon SEO Ranking ("we," "us") is operated by Pedro Rocha, an individual based in Portugal. This policy explains what we collect through amazonseoranking.com (the "Service") and why. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and any profile information you or your sign-in method (e.g. Google) provide. We store your plan tier in Clerk's user metadata, and your monthly audit and keyword usage counts in our own database (hosted by Neon) so plan limits reset correctly each month. If you're on the Agency plan and create a programmatic API key, we store a one-way hash of it — never the key itself — so we can recognize it on future requests. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs to keep your plan in sync; Stripe itself collects and stores your payment details (see below).
Content you submit. ASINs or product URLs, marketplace selections, target keywords, and bulk-upload files you provide are sent to our servers to run an audit or generate AI copy. If you run a real (non-demo) audit, we save the result — the score, category breakdown, and listing title — tied to your account, which is what powers your History dashboard and score-change alerts. AI-generated rewrites, A+ Content, and review replies are not saved after they're returned to you.
Support chat. Messages you send to the in-app help chat are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. If you escalate a conversation by leaving your email, we retain your email, your question, and a short transcript excerpt so a human can follow up.
Waitlist signups. If you ask to be notified when the Pro plan launches, we retain the email address you provide for that purpose.
Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard request data (IP address, timestamps, request paths) for operating and securing the Service. We use Vercel's privacy-friendly Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see aggregate traffic and performance trends — these are cookieless and don't track you individually across sites. We do not run any advertising tracking on the Service.
How we use it
- To run the SEO audit, AI rewrite, bulk optimization, and keyword volume tools you request.
- To authenticate you and enforce plan limits (e.g. the free tier's monthly audit cap).
- To respond to support questions and follow up on escalated conversations.
- To notify you about product updates you've asked to hear about, such as Pro's launch.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the Service. Each processes only the data needed to perform its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account storage.
- Anthropic — processes listing data and chat messages to generate AI-graded scores, rewritten copy, and support responses.
- RapidAPI (Real-Time Amazon Data) — fetches public Amazon product page data for the ASIN you submit.
- DataForSEO — if enabled, processes the keyword terms you enter to return search volume data.
- Vercel — hosts the Service, processes standard request logs, and provides cookieless aggregate analytics.
- Neon — hosts our database, which stores your audit history, usage counts, and (if applicable) hashed API keys.
- Resend — sends account and product emails (welcome, support replies, waitlist updates) on our behalf.
- Google (reCAPTCHA) — checks that submissions to our waitlist and support forms aren't automated. Google's own Privacy Policy applies to this check.
- Stripe — our payment processor for paid plans. Stripe collects and stores your payment details and calculates applicable sales tax/VAT on each charge; we never see or store your card details ourselves. Unlike some payment providers, Stripe does not act as merchant of record — we are the seller for every subscription. Stripe's own Privacy Policy applies to that processing.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies: Clerk's session cookie to keep you signed in, and, while the Service is in private preview, a cookie that remembers you passed the access passcode. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
Account data persists for as long as your account exists. Real audit results (score, category breakdown, listing title) are retained to power your History dashboard and score-change alerts. AI-generated rewrites, A+ Content, and review replies are not retained beyond the request that generated them. Escalated support conversations and waitlist emails are kept until we act on them or you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can review or update your account information at any time from your account settings, or delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your Clerk-stored data and automatically deletes your saved audit history, usage counts, and API keys from our database. Escalation records and waitlist emails aren't tied to an account and are kept separately until we act on them — to request deletion of those, or to ask any other question, contact us at hello@amazonseoranking.com.
Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use by Amazon sellers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and change the date above.
